You know that you need to put keywords into your title tag, you need to put keywords into your content, but sometimes it just doesn’t work so well. Search engines love keywords which are relevant to the content, but if you try to stuff the same keyword too many times, it becomes spam.
So how do we decide how many keyword we put into the content?
It is decided by keyword density, the following definition is a straight quote from Wikipedia.
“Keyword density is the percentage of times a keyword or phrase appears on a web page compared to the total number of words on the page. In the context of search engine optimization keyword density can be used as a factor in determining whether a web page is relevant to a specified keyword or keyword phrase.”
Usually we put the keyword into the content so it is around 3% of the total words. Having too many makes it spam and search engines start to drop your rank.
What happens if the keyword you want to rank well for in search engines isn’t a relevant word in your content?
Try to include that keyword in your company name, it is normal to mention your company name many times throughout your paragraph, so including that keyword in your company name will work well. But remember, don’t stuff it too many times.
